I’m curious if others experience this same issue. When someone asks me how I’m doing, or what’s wrong, I don’t know how to answer them. I know I don’t feel right, but I have no clue what’s wrong. I’m not sure if this is a normal for others that have bipolar disorder. Maybe this is a result of the ECT.

Does anyone else have this same issue? If so, how do you deal with it?

    1. That’s a good plan. When I do it too often, some people wonder what’s really going on. It’s hard to explain to people that I don’t know how I’m feeling or that I can’t explain, in words, how I’m feeling. It happens at least 5 days a week.

  1. I have the same problem, always have. Usually when it happens I feel unsettled in some way. For the longest time I would just lie and say I was fine. Now, if it’s someone who knows I have bipolar (which at this point is most of my friends and family) I just say I’m having a bad day and leave it at that.

      1. most of the time, i don’t experience the memory loss. doesn’t make much of a difference to bring it back up. i would expect, what are you talking about? or inability to bring it back up or letting be water in the bridge.
